Waiting families

Chris + Gabi
We’re Chris and Gabi Brennan. Thanks to fate, a persistent family friend, and a dating app, we met six years ago. We live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where we’re surrounded by mountains, wide-open spaces, and a large, close-knit family that’s ready to welcome a new little one with open arms.
We’ve built a life rooted in love, laughter, learning, and support. Chris is an attorney and partner at a law firm, and Gabi is an 8th grade science teacher. Our careers are very different, but they both reflect who we are at heart—people who care deeply and work hard to make a difference. Whether it’s Chris guiding a client through a complex legal challenge or Gabi helping a student believe in themselves for the first time, we both believe in lifting others up and showing up fully.
Our marriage is a partnership built on trust, respect, and a shared sense of humor. We complement each other: Chris brings a witty sense of humor and structure, Gabi brings warmth and a sense of adventure. We celebrate the big milestones, but we also cherish the quiet moments—snowboarding in the mountains with our family, hangouts with nieces and nephews, or laughing together after a long day. Our home is filled with love, kindness, and two goofy dogs who are ready to be gentle protectors to a future sibling.
Family has always been central to both of our lives. Gabi grew up on 60 acres in Wyoming, the youngest of three sisters, learning the value of hard work and deep bonds. She became “the fun aunt” early in life, helping to raise her nieces and nephews and discovering just how much she loves nurturing young minds. Chris is the third of four boys from a military family and grew up in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Wyoming. Chris spends much of his free time with his nephew who enjoys sleeping over on the weekends to watch wrestling or play video games. Chris also shares a close relationship with his niece. The two golf together nearly every weekend and Chris coaches her in preparation for her golf tournaments.
We’ve known since the beginning of our relationship that having biological children might not be possible, so adoption has been part of our story for a long time. It’s something we’ve chosen with intention, love, and gratitude. We’re ready to welcome a child into our lives—not just as parents, but as a village that includes grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who are already asking how they can help.
To the expectant parents reading this, we can only imagine how much love and courage you carry in your heart. We promise to honor that love every day. We will raise your child with compassion, joy, honesty, and endless support. We will celebrate who they are and where they came from, and they will always know how deeply they are loved by you and by us.
Thank you for considering us.
With love,
Chris & Gabi
