Waiting families
Zach + Rebecca
Dear Birthparent,
We are Zach and Rebecca, or as our friends and family call us Zach and Becca. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you.
From the very beginning, our connection was effortless.
We met through Zach’s brother, Seth. Seth was hosting a game night and invited his coworker, Becca, with hopes of setting her up with his friend, Jake. It just so happened that Zach decided to join last minute. From the first introduction, we had an undeniable connection. We talked late into the night, exchanged phone numbers, and have talked every single day since then.
From the very beginning, our connection was effortless. Our marriage of 9 years is built on friendship, respect, honesty, teamwork, and of course being deeply in love with each other. Even in disagreements or challenges, we do not lose sight of our love and respect for each other but always strive to communicate openly and support one another.
Our family includes Jaxon, who is 12 years old, and two rescue dogs who we love as members of the family. Jaxon is creative, gentle, loving, and emotionally mature. He is excited about the possibility of becoming an older brother. We co-parent with Jaxon’s biological mother, always prioritizing his well-being and happiness. While he is Zach’s biological son, Rebecca has embraced Jaxon as her own from the start.
We enjoy doing many things as a family including playing games, watching movies, cooking, working on projects together, and just spending time together. One of our greatest joys is supporting Jaxon in his hobbies and interests and sharing in them. One of Jaxon’s biggest interests, which he shares with Becca, is listening to music and dancing. Jaxon also likes to participate in sports, play the cello, write and illustrate graphic novels, and make videos. With Zach, he shares interests including building legos, watching football, and Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Jaxon also loves to have his friends over.
We come from loving, close-knit families. Both of us grew up surrounded by siblings, cousins, and strong family traditions. We believe that family is not just about blood, but about love, loyalty, and the people you choose to walk through life with.
Our extended family is excited and supportive of our decision to adopt, and they are eager to welcome a new member into our lives.
Although our hope is to grow our family, for us, adoption is not solely about fulfilling that desire. With faith as the foundation of our lives, our decision to adopt comes from a desire to be good stewards of the life we’ve been blessed with by extending love, support, and kindness to others.
In our home, every member has a voice and a role. A child’s responsibility is not to meet our expectations, but to be themselves to grow, to learn, to explore, and to know they are deeply loved. We will guide them, nurture them, and celebrate every part of who they are, including their roots.
We welcome people from all walks of life, and if adoption expands our family to include a child’s biological relatives, we will embrace that as a gift. If our child seeks connection with their roots, we will support them wholeheartedly.
We strive to live simply, give generously, and use our resources to help others. Thank you for considering us. We honor your courage and the love you have for your child. If you choose us, we promise to provide a home filled with love, laughter, faith, and unwavering support.
We are prepared to walk this journey with open hearts, open minds, and a commitment to honoring your child’s story.
With deep love and respect,
Zach & Rebecca
