Waiting families
Austin + Lindsay
Thank you for considering us to be the proud parents of your child.
We are Austin and Lindsay, and after 3 years of struggling with infertility, we have been eagerly waiting to start this new chapter of our lives. Please know that your child is already so loved beyond measure especially by us, but also by the members of our family. We believe every life is a gift.
We have been together for 9 years and happily married for 3. We met through mutual friends in a time of turmoil. Lindsay was unsure of her career choice and wanted to further her education in a different town. So, after she had already fallen in love with Austin she left for Cheyenne for about 2 years. We agreed that our relationship was worth continuing long distance because we believe true love knows no boundaries and can endure hardships. At the same time Austin was working overtime at a job he no longer had a passion for and kept renewing short term leases while he looked for other job opportunities in a different state.
After 2 years in Cheyenne, Lindsay’s career change attempt failed, and she moved back to Casper where we spent the next 2 years strengthening our relationship and regaining some much-needed stability over our lives. It was then that we realized that failure is not fatal and that home is not just a place; We believe home is where love thrives, friends and family gather, and memories are created. Austin proposed in the summer of 2022, and we were married on August 26, 2023.
Lindsay works as a Pharmacy Technician, a position she has held for almost 10 years. Although stressful at times, she enjoys the impact her work has on her community, she is friends with all her co – workers and loves her customers dearly.
Austin is a sales manager. He is highly educated, has an incredible skill set, and a good work ethic. He is a valuable person to have on your team. He is mechanically inclined and works hard to build and maintain good relationships with his customers. We believe great things come from hard work and perseverance.
We believe it is important for us to know how to work with our hands. We intend to teach our children to build, fix, and maintain the things we value; from gardening and home repairs to bringing creative ideas to life in the garage.
When we’re not at work we enjoy being active outdoors or attending community events. We like shopping for unique and interesting things at thrift stores and flea markets. Every year Lindsay grows an immaculate garden. She has a special place in her garden for herbs and perennials but truthfully, she just likes being able to enjoy the fruits of her own labor. She is an avid Elk Hunter and loves the feeling of having a well-stocked freezer. She loves cooking and trying new recipes. Austin is usually at the track or on the trail dirt biking with his friends. Austin is very active in the dirt bike community and spends nearly his whole summer either riding or organizing races. He also dedicates his time and efforts into maintaining trails and advocating for the development of new trails. On days that he can’t ride he works on the side business he started via an app called NEVRA. He works closely with a developer, a business partner, and an apparel designer to create a social network for fellow dirt bike riders to find each other, make new friends, and explore new trails. Although tolerant of Austin’s passion for dirt bikes, Lindsay prefers less intense sports like hiking and paddle boarding. At least once a month in the summer we take a trip to the mountain for a Mountain Bike adventure; Lindsay is fairly new to the sport, but she likes the scenic routes and improves with every attempt. We believe you are never too old to try something new, learn a new skill, or start a new project.
Lindsay and Austin are both college graduates. Austin with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Colorado State University and Lindsay with an associate of science in Pharmacy Technology from Casper College. We both highly value our education. We believe education gives us the opportunity to build achievements that profit the community we serve by discovering the talent of every individual child and putting them in an environment where they can naturally develop a love for learning and discover their true passions. We know children need mental nourishment from a young age and we believe it is our duty to keep them on track so they have every opportunity available to them when they decide who they want to become as an adult.
We are a Christian family and fully intend to preserve what we have been raised to follow. We believe that we are put on this earth for something bigger than ourselves. Our values can be directly attributed to being raised as believers and followers of Jesus Christ. Beyond the church, we want to instill in our children that there are always going to be situations outside of our control regardless of preparedness. This is where faith takes the lead. We are thankful for every blessing and pray to get through challenges. With the power of faith, we are able to maintain that our future is brighter than our past. We are shaped by every experience and our purpose is determined not only in the big picture but also in the small acts of charity we can choose to perform every day.
We value hard work and encourage creativity. We take advantage of the opportunities life gives us and we do not fear failure. We know life is full of ups and downs and we are prepared to pick up the pieces wherever they may fall. We believe it is our christian duty to bear one another’sburdens so if you feel burdened by the weight of another child, another mouth to feed; if your time, resources, and patience are wearing thin, please use us as your means of support. We want nothing more than to raise a child we can all be proud of. We promise to do everything within our power to make sure your child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Love, Lindsay and Austin
