Full-Service Adoption Support for Expectant Women
Our full-service adoption support provides expectant mothers with comprehensive guidance during pregnancy. This includes emotional counseling, help creating a personalized adoption plan, coordination with hospital staff, and guidance through every step of the adoption process. Full-service support ensures that birth mothers feel respected, heard, and empowered in making choices that are right for them and their baby.
Domestic Infant Adoption
Domestic infant adoption connects newborns with adoptive families within the United States. Birth mothers can carefully select a family that aligns with their values and decide the level of adoption openness they are comfortable with. This program emphasizes thoughtful planning, safety, and emotional care for both mother and child, providing a smooth, compassionate adoption journey.
Waiting Child Adoption
Waiting child adoption focuses on children, who are in the foster care system, who are usually school age and above. They may be in Wyoming or outside the state. WCS’s role in these adoptions is very different. We complete the home study and prepare families for the needs of the children in care and have experienced trauma. WCS assists the family as they review child profiles on the various adoption exchanges. We advocate for our families to the child’s team. WCS may also complete post placement reports until the adoption is finalized. Families may not have a relationship with the child’s birth family.
International Adoption Support
Our international adoption support program helps families with home study services and post adoption support when adopting internationally. Wyoming Children’s Society is committed to the support and success of our adoptive families. Once finalization occurs in an international court, we begin the post adoption services which includes visits with the family, reports, and other support services. We are available to provide support, information and referral, and guidance to our adoptive families for as long as needed.
