Dear Birthparent(s),

We are thrilled that you are taking the time to read our profile.   We cannot imagine how hard this decision is for you, but please know that we have the utmost respect for what you are doing.   The courage you are showing in making this decision for your baby’s future is amazing, and without you, we might not have the chance to expand our family.   For that, we thank you.

We are Josh and Kara.   We have been married for almost 8 years.   From the day we met, conversations have been about children.   After a struggle with infertility, we were blessed beyond belief with our son Brecken, who turned five years old in September.   He truly is the light of our lives and we would love nothing more than to add to our family but have been unable to do so by ourselves.

We are both teachers.   Working with students, Kindergarteners through seniors in high school, is incredibly fulfilling.   Josh is currently working on his principal endorsement so he can someday become an administrator.

Josh coaches high school basketball and football and a lot of our time is spent on the court or on the field.   Kara tries to go to as many of the away games as she can, and has not missed a single home game.

We love traveling.   Some of our favorite places to go are Southern Florida, Colorado, Disney World, Chicago, and now Minnesota as Kara’s sister and her family recently moved out there.   Whether it’s our family of three, or with our extended family, we’re always up for an adventure!

We live in a nice 4-bedroom house in a very good neighborhood in our town.   The people we live by are very friendly and are always watching out for each other.   We have two dogs, Birdie and Hogan, who are lab mixes.   We also have two cats, Charlie and Ditka.

Our town has a lot of outdoor activities to offer.   We are nestled in the base of the mountains so it’s a short drive to go have a picnic in the mountains, visit the lake, and cut down a Christmas tree in the winter.
